Various Links part 2
* Let the Deerhoof craze begin again, with a new free download EP from the band full of covers and live songs, get the EP here, the tracklist here, and also watch these 3 videos of Deerhoof singing live. As a quick note, after watching the videos, does anybody think the drummer is a bit pretentious? playing a 3 piece drum with your bare feet acting crazy? well nevermind just enjoy ;)
* Metallic Falcons featuring Sierra Casady from CocoRosie, on Raven sings the Blues
* Mission of Burma live from CBGB’s 1983 and Chicago Punk artists Bollweevils on Can you see the sunset from the southside. 2 tracks from Mission of Burma’s latest on Big Static.
* John Peel sessions archives revisited on The Perfumed Garden, incl. TV on the radio, The Smiths, The Fall, Camera Obscura, Fudge Tunnel and much more..
* What a nice name Labelworthy has. A brooklyn blog-collective that showcases unsigned talents. Minimal and clean design and pretty quality bands, mostly indie rock and electronica, checked out the bands The Picture, The Mudville Project and The Pirate Ship Quintet and I agree they do deserve labels!.
* Well, probably everybody has seen it but Pitchfork’s 100 best music videos on youtube list should be checked (and most of them skipped, but they have Frontier Psychiatrist on the first page, so it deserves a mention).
* Download fest on The Torture Garden, incl. Juano Molina, Vashti Bunyan, Architecture in Helsinki, Gnarls Barkley etc.
* And last but not least, Yellow Magic Orchestra coverage on My Bird Performs. Found this out of technorati backlinks for my Senor Coconut review, this has 4 great youtube videos and 3 songs..
That’s it for now ;)
