Minimal sounds

3 cool minimal house/technoish songs for today. The first one is off Landesvatter’s Lax on Normoton. Textures, ambience and minimal house, pretty much what you’d expect. Here’s a review on Textura and another one on Prefix.

Landesvatter - Mank
Landesvatter - Basic off Vatterland 12″
Landesvatter - Gro off Lax kindly put online by Normoton.

Egg is imho an underrated electronic duo. Ok, they’re on Mutek but most people haven’t heard of their name. Here’s “Kabuki Express” a great song from their previous album . This is not your standard minimal dance track, it’s a strange puzzle piece of cut up instruments slowly revealing itself in full after the first half of the song. The Japanese Kabuki vibe is there and this song would be a great theme song to any short film you’re shooting. The second track Nanis time displays some Akufen microfunk, upbeat minimal dance track for the dancefloor. No need to say I prefer the first one but everybody has to dance sometimes.

Egg - Kabuki Express
Egg - Nani’s time
Egg - Chispa de Tren
Egg - Chapi Chapeau
