Tunng

We’ve featured Tunng here before but they surely deserve another one.
Their second album Comments of the Inner Chorus is grande! I don’t know if critics will say, `this feels pretty similar to the former album`, the thing is there are many bands doing the whole folk-with guitar and soft naive songs thing and it’s never gonna be authentic anymore.
Subtle hints of electronic beats and other instruments are there too, and they really have a sensitive and warm side to their music as well as great vocal melodies. and everything is just in time and just for the right amount. Stylus calls it `An album of imaginative intensity, vivid imagery, and best of all, heart-tugging emotion`.
With this album Tunng have definitely proved their songwriting ability to me, (as if i’m some kind of authority) they may be tiny little songs, but the album is surely a non-skipper. Here’s Sweet William, a heartbreaking song that comes straight out of a fairy tale. The contrabass and the ukulele(?) are great addition to the guitar vocal duo. Check out other stuff like their first single Woodcat and buy the album!
