Wedding songs

Well, after seeing Richie Hawtin and Sven Vaeth go homo @ a party, I am pretty heartbroken now. So no more electronic music for you guys/gals. It’s time to go roots folklore today, with a special selection by none other than me of course. (BTW, that was just my devious plan to give that link and go on posting ethnic folk music, I’m not homophobic. Although it’s a universal fact that Uncle Sven looks pretty wasted, come on~)
I’ve been waiting for Filelodge to come back up to present this ethnic folk music selection, so everyone can remember folk music is not equal to beard rock…
Just kidding we all love beard rock.
So let’s start with some Balkan brass songs to cheer you up. I really think the best kind of wedding would be a gypsy/balkan wedding in open air with a brass ensemble playing, because as All about Jazz put it “From Serbia to Cairo to New York City?s Lower East Side, people who hear this will be dancing”
Here are some examples of what you can get:
a) You can get the hyper speed wedding song from Fanfare Savale, or possibly a soundtrack that plays in your head, while you’re trying to escape from the wedding.
b) You can get the 40 day/night wedding song from Fanfare Ciocarlia, the Asfalt Tango (the name of their record label also)
c-d ) You can get the klezmer wedding songs, from David Glukh International Ensemble and Frank London’s Klezmer Brass Allstars if you have a long beard and you’re going to do a Jewish wedding. Just go for the second one, if you’re going to have a banquet!
