End of year lists are always a nice way to send good karma to all the great musicians, now with all these mp3blogs and social services, we can finally tell all the “underground” musicians how much we appreciate their music, and how it makes the world a better place and all that..So it’s now my turn to give hugs to all these great people around the world.. (I know I’m a bit late yes!)
First I should thank last.fm, which enabled me for the first time to remember what I was listening to at the beginning of the year..

Top Albums of the Year

I made this release out of albums that have no more than 1-2 tracks that are OK, that means I can put on the albums anytime, and not want to skip any tracks. This is in a way the spirit of making an album. However there have been many conceptual albums which are as significant (or more) as some of these, albums/sounds so original that I don’t need to actually like the music to admire its beauty.. but we are still humans, and everyone likes a good song, so here’s the top albums of the year in random brain order.

Well, a mixed list, some are electronic, some are indie, some are jazz, some are featured here before.. There were many CDs that I discovered in 2005, that weren’t from 2005.. I’d like to do a list for them if I have time too, and also a top 5 for netlabels.. we’ll see, until then.. enjoy!
