Tokow Boys and Erik Truffaz

2 exotic and eclectic songs for today.

The first is off a Tigersushi compilation. This is the only track I’ve ever listened from Tokow Boys, but surprisingly (or maybe not?) they’re a french techno-pop band from early 80s. Weird, hard to categorize exotic post-punk song with a strange vocal, that sounds like French mixed with Japan.

the second is by ethnic pop-jazz master Erik Truffaz. The vocals on this one are sung by Tunisian vocalist Mounir Troudi and they are definitely very viral. Even though I don’t know Arabic, I haven’t been able to get the vocals off my mind since my first listen. It’s fast paced like a dnb song, only with accoustic drums, and great musicianship.
