Is Mabafu’s latest online offering Bahia Aleman referencing Senor Coconut’s El Baile Aleman (Mr. Schmidt’s Brasil covers of Kraftwerk songs, which is a masterpiece in itself.) Yes probably and not only limited to its title, because this is one of the best netlabel releases I’ve listened to in December (although it wasn’t released in December i guess)

Mabafu created easy listening downtempo songs for us fusioning various brasil styles and dub, and with a more than decent mastering (Thanks to Sofasound). This is a solid album, which sets the standard for future netlabel releases IMO.

In other news : You should check out WMMNA covering Morphovision. An electronic tool that can hack the proton and change what you see (with your own eyes) on the fly.. If you’ve taken shrooms or acid before, I’m sure you won’t be surprised.. but for the other “sane” people, welcome to a new reality where things are not so absolute. :)
