After a small break, here we are with a new logo, and better colors (i hope).Todays post is a great one, inspired by a tag I saw on last.fm > songs you can listen to over 50 times in a row.. well, I’m pretty confident that I can listen to these songs at least 10 times before getting slightly bored.
Solomon Schwartz has taken traditional jewish songs and made them into twist songs, in 1963 should I add. And were it not for the 2004 reissue, these gems would probably be lost. The opening track is the most wellknown Jewish song Hava Nagila. I’m pretty sure only one listen will be enough to first laugh out loud and then repeat the track for at least 3 times in a row.
There are twelve songs on this album reissued on Solnze records and if you’re a Jew you should definitely get this and surprise your elders at the Chanukah. I’m sure most of them will dance the twist despite their aching backs!
Happy holidays to everyone!
