I hope you noticed the lack of posts for awhile, that was because my computer died.

Was strolling through some old cds today, and I came upon this gem from Peter Blasser.

It’s pretty hard to define his music, very out-of-this world and personal. Strange spacy ambience, and very atonal melodies. However it’s eerily mellow and listenable. Ok I lack the necessary adjectives to describe his music. I’m so sad to see only 9 listens to Peter B on last.fm! (and 48 here. )

(when is last.fm going to fix these.. )

The liner notes read, “I used Supercollider to create an ever changing texture, tied to the meter of a simple poem. As a result, the form of the piece is generative and through-composed.the vocal textures all imitate the digital gestures and glitches of the source material.”
