Micatone - Where I am Part 2

Nice effort from this Berlin based Jazz-electronica fusion band. Vocalist Lisa Bassenge has a lovely voice and is quite powerful through all songs. Jazzy downtempo stuff with many different musical inspirations, in fact they surely are not any short of creative ideas, as songs are quite varied. I’m sure if you like bands like De-Phazz and Beady Belle, you’ll be delighted with this nice solid LP.



Where I am Part 2
is a slow one, perhaps the most electronic of them with reverbed bass and guitar backing Lisa’s vocals. However as I said, there are many uptempo urban funk & jazz songs so if you want some more stuff to sample check out the links below. By the way it’s out on Sonar Kollektiv and IMHO they are one of the best labels to blindly follow right now.
