Is this the greatest riff ever? Probably not.. but it’s unstoppable in my head right now!. If you wanna catch the fever, join the club because it’s been nearly 10 years since this album debuted on Sub Pop and it’s still fresh as ever.

Chicago’s 5ive Style is a four piece which features Tortoise drummer John Herndon on drums and Bill Dolan on the guitars. The opening track of the album Deep Marsh has got an incredibly catchy guitar riff backed up nicely by tight uptempo drumwork from Herndon. A fusion of rock and funk in their own unique sound. If you like this track be sure to look for the album in bargain bins, it’s worth it.
