A claustrophobic track on this dark and cloudy Istanbul afternoon (it should have been better it’s august for God’s sake!)

VVV is a collaboration of well-known musicians; Mika Vainio and Ilpo Vaisanen from Pan sonic, the Finnish kings of noise and Alan Vega, the infamous frontman of Suicide. And as you expected, the release is as dark and gloomy it gets. Alan Vega is enchanting as a vocalist,(although Stylus Mag says he’s getting old) his strange lyrics and growls are in the front, while the Pan sonic crew set the catatonic mood of the songs.

Stylewise, I really think this album is similar to the AGF/Delay release “Explode Baby”. Slow minimal and noisy, with a strange groove behind all songs. However this album is as dark and creepy as a David Lynch movie. So beware!
