aren’t netlabels great?

Folks don’t you think that netlabels are getting better day by day?. Netlabel fans are growing, music is getting better, new labels are being founded, artists are getting much more coverage, and it’s not seen as a “low-quality alternative” to CD labels anymore.. (how can we forget the traditional vinyl or cd guy smirking netlabels and artists back then?)

The releases below are the main cause of the above paragraph. 4 solid releases and all you’ve got to do to is to click the link and you can have it for free.. when was the last time someone gave you something this good for free?

go ahead and support these artists! (and other netlabels too of course!)

Jahtari 06
by Bo Marley : Great great vocal track from Bo Marley. Jahtari are fellow dub/reggaeheads, and this is their first vocal release. The dub version on side b is totally a hit, and one of the best digital dub tracks ever created since Basic Channel!

Beat is Murder 01 by Yeah pretty boy : Beat is Murder is a new post-electronica label, with 2 releases, this is the first one from YPB. Glitchy electronic pop in the vein of Dat Politics.

Pharmacom 01 by Calypso : Lounge music from Italy. Delicate downtempo acid jazz with vocals, similar to Koop.

Stroem 08 by MichL Bridge : The last of the bunch is a release from the Swedish Stroem label. They have some great releases under their belt, and they really push the boundaries for fresh music . This is a unique release of 6 parts fading into each other, but you’d never know that if I didn’t mention it, because MichL has created a special sonic journey with such complex arrangement and storytelling, it will put some noteworthy ambient-cinematique music artists to shame. I’m totally totally in love with this one.
