The opener of this incredible dub-ska-jazz hybrid album, is a very special song. I don’t know why but it reminds me of pirates, and conjures some yellow screens of the Caribbean (or maybe Arabian? – i don’t know) in my head. Dub Guerilla is a 14-piece band, featuring none other than the gifted German trombonist Dr. Ring Ding (he is from Germany, and he’s played with The Toasters, and The Skatalites – that’s incredible in itself) and Jazzkantine’s Tom Bennecke. Well ok even if you have never heard of them, or even if you don’t like dub, give it a try because this album is not another boring dub album, and this song is just the perfect teaser..
